Friends of Jesus Children Home is a non-profit organisation that aims to serve vulnerable children.Friends of Jesus Children Home was founded by Francis Ingutia, A young man with the history of being a street child himself. The organization was established in 2012.
as a
street/slum outreach program to help the children understand the
problems they face and give them the means to overcome them. So they can
grow and succeed.
FRIENDS OF JESUS CHILDRENS HOME: OUR GOALS
Besides creating a safe and comfortable environment for the street-children to sleep, eat and live in, we aim to organize and facilitate activities
with educational and positive value. These activities give the children
the important opportunities to be educated and receive guidance in
their life.
Through Friends of Jesus Childrens Home, undertakings and recreational
activities the children build skills and discover talents. We hope this
way we can contribute a great deal to their sense of self-esteem and
offer them a different perspective on life and their future.
To keep the children off the street we offer entertainment that
varies from sports and music programmes. But also educational projects,
to help the children grow and succeed. We also run a counselling
programme with elders who used to live on the streets. This programme
involves dance, crafts and sharing. By sharing their issues with the
rest of the children they improve and build their character development.
Unfortunately due to the overwhelming amount of street-children we are reaching full capacity.
In order to grow we need to raise funds to purchase a land and build
our own premises to create more spaces for vulnerable children .These are view ofour plans concerning the enlargement of our working area and
capacity building . In this way, we will be able to identify and
recruit more children off the streets and offer services to reach their
goals in the future.
Please consider supporting Friends of Jesus Childrens Home‘s initiative work for street-children in need relief by making donations today.
Thank you.
